Useful Websites
www.edmodo.com - This will be one of the main websites we will use for journal righting and discussion outside of class. Download it on your phones and join the class I have set up.
http://questgarden.com/83/12/0/090604182106/index.htm - This is a great website where you can examine Shakespearean plays and link them to modern adaptations in film
www.dropbox.com - This is a site you can use to share very large files with your colleagues. The main thing we will use it for in this class is video sharing.
www.googledrive.com - This is site is also designed for file sharing. It is a great way to store your work if you are running out of space on any of your devices. A great tool that can be used here is Google docs which allows many people to edit a document at the same time.
www.remind.com - This site will allow me to send out reminders to you and your parents about upcoming events and assignments. It is a great app to have on your phone, too.
www.ted.com/talks - This site has a number of videos of innovative thinkers giving presentations on their new ideas. Some of your homework assignments will be to listen to a few of these talks.
www.box.com - This is another great file storing website. Documents stored here can be very easily shared with colleagues and embedded onto websites.
www.blendspace.com - This is a great website for creating lessons. I will have a few lessons for you to watch on this site, but eventually I want all of you to begin creating interactive lessons for each other.
www.youtube.com - You all know the site! Here we can upload, create and edit video and audio media. We will use this site a lot for class projects.
www.zunal.com - This site is designed to create webquests for students to use to learn new skills. It is similar to blendspace, but designed for faster lessons.
www.kahoot.it - Here we will all log in to play quiz games that I create for the class. This is a great way to review what we have learned and have fun at the same time.
